Tag Heuer Monaco Grand Prix Watch
This year’s Monaco Grand Prix has come and gone. All the celebrities we spotted there, such as Will Smith, have gone home and the streets are back to normal. But what remains now is the fabulous Calibre 16 Chronograph Monaco Grand Prix watch by Tag Heuer that was introduced at the event. This is a great looking piece that at once reminded us of Jack Heuer’s model from 1964, which was produced to honor the Carrera Panamericana road race from the 1950’s.
The Carrera line has been created for race drivers and fans. Tag’s Carrera line continually celebrates the Tag brand and famous racing events – in a limited series.
The newly launched Carrera Calibre 16 Chronograph Monaco Grand Prix watch is 43mm in diameter, with a black aluminum bezel, a black dial and a black strap that looks like it has been taken from a F1 tire tread from 1964.
The dial includes three different subdials, the 30-minute counter at 6 o’clock, the 12 hour counter at 6 o’clock, and the 60 second counter at 9 o’clock. A date is shown at the 3 o’clock.
We did our research and found out that the watch sports a Calibre 16 self-winding mechanism that oscillates at the frequency of the 28,000 vibrations per hour, providing 42 hours of power reserve.
As usual for event related watch productions, the Carrera Calibre 16 Chronograph Monaco Grand Prix watch will be available in a limited edition of 3,000 numbered and engraved pieces. I do think you still have time to get yours, but you really should hurry.
