Jaeger-LeCoultre and Aston Martin have been working together for the past eight years or so and are adding to the watch making scene and sports car field. On the occasion of their eighth anniversary, they introduced AMVOX7 as a way to cement the relationship in to a much stronger one. This watch with its aesthetically crafted 44 mm titanium case is a pleasure to look at. The dial of the watch features the popular grille pattern seen on Aston Martin Vanquish model. As the watch maker and car maker are racing ahead to the very next anniversary of their almost a decade long courtship, the new creation from their stable is holding true to its original DNA. At the same time, they did make some significant changes in to the design as well. The new case design is one of the new facets added to the watch. Another one is the radial power display that is first seen for the very first time in AMVOX7 and also in the AMVOX series. You must have noticed the vertical-trigger chronograph system for the very first time in 2005. Now, they have incorporated that feature in to this model too.

You can see the radial power-reserve display through the two gaps in the top portion of the inner bezel ring. They are situated on either side of the black dial. As you wind the watch, you can see the red power strips on both sides of the dial move towards the center and joining at the 12 O’ clock position. As the charge reduces, you will again see them moving apart.

Another notable feature of the model is the vertical trigger chronograph. Some people do believe that this is a new feature that is added for the very first time. This is not true at all. In fact, it was launched for the first time in the year 2005. Unlike the other watches where you push a chronograph pusher, here all you need to do is press on the watch glass to get it started. The function changes with the location of the glass where you press. If you opt to push at the 12 O’ clock position, it will start or stop the chronograph. Alternatively, you can push on the glass at the opposite extreme and get the chronograph hand moved to zero. Again, you can lock the case by pressing on its side and thus avoid any unnecessary use of the chronograph. The concept is simple, elegant and a complex one, all at the same time!

You cannot miss the Aston Martin logo clearly visible on the inner bezel ring. Equally impressive and unique is the Aston Martin Vanquish car’s radiator grille design that is incorporated in to the watch dial.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX7 Chronograph Aston Martin is featuring a more ergonomic design and is going to gel perfectly with your wrist. The designers and engineers worked even with the lugs to make it blend with the strap and the wrists perfectly.

The watch model in titanium is tentatively priced at $ 26,000 and will be available in the market in 2013.
