Sarpaneva Korona K0 – A Diver’s Watch That Doesn’t Look Like One
Stepan Sarpaneva has been making aesthetically crafted watch designs for a while now. Most people who got to know these designs loved them a lot. Every time he comes out with one of his new creations, the event generates a lot of hype. In fact, even his slight modifications on his already existing models create a lot of excitement in us. When the Korona K0 was released earlier this year, it was referred to as the diver’s watch that does not look like one. That statement is absolutely true. This model can accurately depict the time during your scuba diving trips and can prevent water from entering it up to a depth of 300 meters. But, the master stroke on the part of Stepan Sarpaneva is in the unique design element that merged the main plate and diver’s bezel together, without affecting the overall watch profile.
The case that is coated with DLC as well as the use of a mild shade of Titanium Nitride (TiN) on the dial is forming a nice contrast to each other. The model is powered by an elegant looking and reinvigorated Soprod A10 Calibre. It can operate continuously for a duration of 42 hours. Another key feature of the caliber is the merging of the main plate and the diver’s timing ring.
