Christopher Ward C900 Single Pusher Chronograph
Christopher Ward is a British watchmaker who has been on a roll lately. He has released several successful wristwatches over the past couple of years and his C900 Single Pusher Chronograph is no exception.
All of the company’s recent watch releases have caught the public’s attention for good reason. Firstly, the watches are interesting to put it simply. Secondly, they are innovative and practical. And thirdly, they are competitively priced and won’t break your bank. Their latest model, the C900, is limited edition. In fact, there are only 250 models being produced. At a set retail price of just $3,875 this watch packs all the amenities of other similar models with an average retail price of $5,000 and up. Christopher Ward is so confident in their new creation that they are backing it up with a five year warranty as well. Advanced watchmaker Johannes Jahnke modified the movement in the C900. It uses an ETA/Unitas 6497 movement modified to boast a monopusher chronograph complication. For those of you unfamiliar with the complication a monopusher (also known as a single pusher) allows the chronographer to be started, paused, and reset with the push of a button. The button in the case of the C900 is cleverly built into the crown of the watch.
The C900 has a 43mm case with a medium thickness suitable for any wrist type. The JJ02 hand wound calibre features traditional timekeeping on an elegant, simplistic layout. The sub-dial is devoted to a 30 minute measure for the chronograph and there is a dial for the running seconds. The face is white with black Roman numerals. The thin, needle like dials allow precise pointing and add to the classy look of this time piece. Customers can choose between a black or brown leather strap. Overall Christopher Ward has outdone themselves with the C900 model. Affordable, practical, elegant, and innovative all accurately describe this wristwatch.
