As its name suggests, “Beyond Horizon” is dedicated to the artistic vision of the horizon. Vian Borchert’s art portfolio contains many explorations of the horizon theme, as the artist is deeply engaged in the emotional illustration of her personal journeys and broader human experience with nature. Four of them have been hand-picked for the exhibition at Lichtundfire.

These include “Yellow Light” (2024), “Spectrum” (2020), “Identity” (2020), and “Electric” (2020). Each of the paintings offers a personal view of the horizon as a boundary between the known and the unknown, giving the viewers a feel of perspective and infinite possibilities.

Artwork Statement

Vian Borchert’s stylistic preferences lie in the area of abstract landscapes that are called to provoke reflections on the essence of ephemeral natural beauty and people’s place within it. Her art objects explicate the delicacy of human-nature coexistence and encourage mindfulness. These are the values embodied in each of the acrylic paintings showcased at “Beyond Horizon.” For the artist, the process of painting the horizon is deeply connected with the exploration of her place in the world and the ability to address challenges and step beyond the well-known for the sake of new beginnings.
