Tudor Heritage Black Bay Watch
Tudor is a luxury watch company owned by Rolex. In fact, the founder of Rolex, Hans Wilsdorf, is the founder of Tudor. The brand was created as a response to individuals seeking an affordable Rolex. Tudor mimics Rolex’s style in many ways which has put some people off about the brand. The Heritage line of wristwatches was the truly unique one that gained Tudor international fame.
In 2012 Tudor decided to revive their Heritage line with a third piece dubbed the Black Bay. It is a tribute to Tudor’s heritage and incorporates many design aspects seen in Tudor Heritage watches over the years. The Oyster steel dial measures 41 mm and features a deep red bezel ring. It has a domed crystal case cover which provides clear readability.
The dial hands are made out of pink-gold with lume plots. The circular hour markers are similar to the hands, featuring lume plots outlined in pink-gold. The 3, 6, and 9 o’clock hours are represented as rectangles and the 12 o’clock hour is represented as a triangle. The dial itself is a deep, chocolate color. The Black Bay wristwatch has a standard ETA 2824 movement and is water resistant up to 200 meters.
The Black Bay is a diver’s watch but will surely impress a wide variety of men. The Oyster steel bracelet gives it a more professional look more suitable for business. Age leather straps are another option for those seeking something a bit more casual. The price point is right, starting in the low-luxury range. This would make an exceptional daily wearer.
