Cartier Ballon Bleu W6900651
The history of the French brand of Cartier began in 1847 when young Louis-François Cartier got as his heritage a jewelry workshop in Paris. It was an interesting stormy time of European revolutions and counterrevolutions, of French emperors, kings and presidents. Many people of the French nobility found Cartier watches and jewelry to be quite luxury and appropriate to wear.
Nowadays the brand of Cartier is just a quintessence of the luxury watch art. If you think of the finest luxury watches in the world – begin it with Cartier.
For this review we take a special men’s wrist watch model (detailed number is W6900651) that is called Cartier Ballon Bleu. Though it has some slight signs of previous gentle usage (mainly on the backside) it’s still in very nice condition with all the functions working well.
If to chose only one word to characterize a spirit of this luxury watch model this could be the word “elegance”. 18K rose gold case comes with a silver dial, the crown of the same rose gold is embodied directly to the case, and it’s fitted with a blue cabochon.
The light silver color of the surface of the watch dial enriches visibility of deep blue hands – hour and minute ones and of black Roman hour marker numerals. There is also a little date window that is placed at 3 o’clock zone.
The watch dimensions are male but quite moderate: the watch case width is 42mm if to count without the crown and the watch thickness is 13mm. A brown leather strap is attached to the watch body, it has a good deployment clasp. The water resistance level is also moderate with its 30 meters.
This luxury model from Cartier isn’t a great time piece if you are going to some extremal travel or if you need to make some quick time calculations in the chronograph mode. The goal of this watch model differs from such tasks. This watch is just a sample beauty of everything luxurious – take it in this way and you’ll find out that it’s very interesting to be a wearer of pure beauty!
