Baume & Mercier created the sportiest collection of watches in their stable, the Capeland Collection, in the year 1998. The watches in this collection are known for their coolness index as well as their functionality. Recently, they have crafted a limited edition Capeland and released it exclusively for their loyal US customers through Tourneau stores. They crafted only 250 pieces of this stylish watch model. The watches in the original Capeland Collection featured only black or white dials. The newest limited edition addition to this collection features a copper colored dial. The macho timepiece is made of steel and its case is 44 millimeters in diameter. They do have a version that comes in a titanium case as well. A dome shaped sapphire crystal, treated with antireflective coating, is adorning the watch’s case. The machinery that runs the watch, a La Joux-Perret crafted automatic chronograph caliber, is housed in this case. Each aspect of the movement of the chronograph hand is controlled by artistically created column-wheel construction. One of the unique features of this watch is the La Joux-Perret created Flyback chronograph visible through the sapphire crystal case back. This Capeland timepiece is very accurate, highly resistant to shock and is water proof up to a depth of 200 meters of water.

The copper accented dial adds to the stylishness of the watch. Comfortable shades of blue are visible on the tachymeter scale, the counters, the hour hands as well as minute hands. The black colored Arabic numerals and telemeter scale gels perfectly with the other shades of this luxury watch. Besides the two chronograph registers, the watch features another date window in it too. The bracelets and straps available for the Capeland men’s limited edition watch are steel, titanium and Kevlar.
