Hublot and Ferrari Celebrate Ferrari’s US 60th Anniversary in Los Angeles with the Issue of a New Luxury Watch Model
Ferrari celebrated its 60th anniversary in the USA with a historical event that took place in Beverly Hills. This party began on October 10, with an exclusive dinner at the Petersen Auto Museum. It was hosted by Chairman of Hublot and President of the Watch Division of LVMH Group, Jean-Claude Biver. Besides, this event was attended by Mr. Fenech, President and CEO of Ferrari North America, John Simonian and also Greg Simonian, Founder and President of Westime. The culmination of the evening was the introduction of the Big Bang Ferrari USA 60th Anniversary luxury watch by Hublot.
This high-end watch is created in America’s national flag colors – red, white and blue. It combines the style of the legendary sports cars with the technology of the Hublot brand. Its 45.5mm wide black carbon fiber case displays a flyback chronograph movement visible through the anti-reflective sapphire dial. With more than 330 fine details, the dual horizontal coupling and the column wheel appear on this skeletonized dial. In addition, it contains blue-filled hands and hour markers, and a 60-minute chronograph sub-dial at the 3 o’clock position.
This fine watch features the frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, 72 hours of power reserve and water resistance up to 100 meters. Moreover, each timepiece comes with two interchangeable straps, black and blue «schedoni» leather with stitching on black natural rubber backing. With just 60 numbered pieces available, this unique sample of luxury watch brand and the iconic Italian automaker cooperation will compliment any wrist. As a tribute to Ferrari, the case back of this designer watch is decorated with the legendary logo, Prancing Horse, and the exclusive signature “1954-2014: Ferrari 60 Years in USA”.
Returning to the festivity, it should be noted that the weekend continued with a chic Gala dinner and Ferrari auction on Saturday, October 11, where famous car lovers and celebrities including Mary J.Blige and Megan Fox were presented. It was no surprise that the official watchmaking partner of Ferrari, Hublot took part in the event, which was intended to raise funds in order to benefit the American branch of the Italian charity “DayBreak”. By the way, the auction resulted in a price of $900,000 for the car!
The event also included the unveiling of the limited edition F60 America and a showcase of record-breaking 1000 Ferraris on Rodeo Drive on October 12. It was highlighted by Hublot pop-up location that showed the most famous Ferrari luxury watches since 2011. To our delight, these two companies have signed for another 5 years of working together. So we can expect new outstanding cars and new watches in the nearest future. And now you have a chance to buy the newest Big Bang Ferrari USA 60th Anniversary high-end watch at the retail price of $33,200.
