Celebration: A New Solo Exhibition by Indra Persad Milowe

“Celebration,” Indra Persad Milowe’s new solo exhibition held at the virtual Hanbell Gallery, features many impressive artworks inspired by the diversity of natural landscapes and cultural traditions the artist embraced during her international travels. Among the most notable are the bright depictions of the Odalan Festival Milowe had a chance to attend during her stay in Bali and a large number of traditional art forms and symbols she learned through cultural encounters.

The exhibition was curated by Sara Handerhan and Isabelle Grace Brett, who worked under the artistic guidance of Isabell Sliwinski. “Celebration” is on display at Hanbell Gallery until May 31, 2025, giving every appreciator of indigenous art and Milowe’s signature visual language a chance to embrace a variety of her recent creations.
