Breitling has recently introduced the Bentley GT “Dark Sapphire” Edition created for the company’s iconic Breitling for Bentley collection of high-end watches. Inspired by the all-new Bentley Continental GT debuted earlier this year, the novelty is an exceptional luxury watch issued in a limited edition of only 500 pieces worldwide. Moreover, featuring a “30-second” chronograph, an ultra-light case constructed of the innovative material Breitlight, and a new Bentley GT rubber strap, the “Dark Sapphire” Edition promises to be much stronger and more effective than any other model in the Bentley collection. So what is Breitlight and why is this new piece of Breitling high-end luxury watches for men so special?

First introduced in 2016, Breitlight is a high-tech composite material produced by Breitling, which is said to be several times lighter and harder than titanium, plus it is more resistant to scratches, high temperatures, corrosion, and magnetism. As for the aesthetic aspect, Breitlight has a specific black-streaked surface texture reminiscent of the Bentley Continental GT “dark sapphire” livery. This all makes the new Bentley GT Edition incredibly durable and eye-catching. Besides, the innovative case of this luxury watch, which is 48mm in diameter, is additionally water-resistant up to the depth of 100 meters.

Just like other Breitling for Bentley high-end watches, the Bentley GT “Dark Sapphire” Edition features a distinctive dial inspired by luxury cars. Created in dark sapphire colors, with a diamond motif, it continues the specific Bentley Continental GT design. The sub-dials are traditionally located at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions; however, since this luxury watch boasts a “30-second” chronograph, the dial design is also complemented by a sweeping central hand that ensures a 1/8th of a second for elapsed time readings. The date is displayed in a small rectangular aperture placed at the 4:30 o’clock position.

The Bentley GT “Dark Sapphire” Edition is driven by a COSC certified Breitling self-winding mechanical Calibre B06 built on 47 jewels. It operates at the frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers the user 70 hours of power reserve.

This stylish luxury watch is presented on a black Bentley GT rubber strap with a stitched blue diamond motif, designed specifically to match the overall look of the model. It is closed by a folding clasp with a push-piece opening mechanism. As it has been already said, the novelty is limited to only 500 pieces.
