Madison Avenue Watch Week Kicks Off
Madison Avenue in New York City is widely known as the largest watch market in North America. Here, among the world’s top horological boutiques, you’ll surely find that one-of-a-kind watch. Now through April 13, diehard watch fans from all over the world will have the opportunity to enjoy the third annual Madison Avenue Watch Week, taking place between 57th and 86th Streets.
Come visit the best-known retailers for the finest watch brands and brand boutiques, who are opening their doors to the public and introducing their newest creations.
There will be several special events to keep you busy, such as launches and previews; conferences with the experts; information on the latest trends and technologies; VIP sales appointments; and exhibitions of historical timepieces. In addition to the public watch exhibitions, each store will hold its own by-invitation events.
This annual haute-horology event was designed to help promote the best in the business. Participating retailers are well known and admired brands, such as: Antiquorum, the famed auctioneers; Asprey; Blancpain; Breguet; Buccellati; Chopard; David Yurman; de Grisogono; FP Journe; Fabergé; Georg Jensen; Girard-Perregaux; Graff; Hublot; Montblanc; Porsche Design; and Vacheron Constantin.
But there is more to this wonderful event than famous watch brands! On Wednesday, April 10, Antiquorum will host its celebrated and eagerly anticipated auction: Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces.
The third annual Madison Avenue Watch Week is sponsored by The Wall Street Journal, and is presented by the Business Improvement District (BID) of Madison Avenue. While Watch Week officially started yesterday, the pre-event activities started on Saturday, April 6, with a Vacheron Constantin 2013 collection viewing; and continued on Sunday, April 7, when Antiquorum gave a preview of the pieces to be sold at the upcoming auction.
