According to Nina Luna, an artist whose work is currently exhibited at the Milostka Center for Exhibitions at Culturally Arts Collective, a canvas “is the birthplace of creation.” The themes of life, birth, and rebirth come through in each and single one of Luna’s pieces. Her paintings are vibrant and joyful, but what drew her to art in the first place is the complete opposite of that.

Like any contemporary art fair, SCOPE Art Show 2023 has a fair share of artworks aimed to challenge societal norms and prejudice and inspire change. Mixed-media recycled art pieces by the famous street artist and activist Bordalo II definitely fall into that category.

SCOPE Art Show is one of the biggest art fairs in the world. Its first edition was held in New York with only 28 featured galleries, in stark contrast to SCOPE Miami Beach 2023, which exhibits over 150 participants. Many valuable works by Black artists from the collection of the award-winning singer Alicia Keys and the producer Kasseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean will be presented to the public in February 2024. On November 21, 2023, an exhibition of works by the world-renowned artist Wassily Kandinsky opened in the gorgeous gallery hall of Torre dos Clérigos, a historical church in Porto, Portugal. “Kandinsky: The Bauhaus Album Rediscovered” features 15 original artworks from the sketchbook of one of the most influential modernist artists.

Art Basel Hong Kong (ABHK) will replace the American edition of the fair in the public spotlight in March 2024. The organizers behind Art Basel Hong Kong 2024 have just announced the list of exhibitors for the upcoming show.

In the aftermath of the horrible event, a foundation called Israel’s Art at Dawn was set up by the people in the Israeli artistic community to provide immediate relief to the affected members of the local art scene. Israel’s Art at Dawn is hosting an online art sale until November 15, intending to raise funds for the artistic and art institutions in the southern part of Israel.
