TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 1887 Chronograph Jack Heuer Edition
We all know how dominant the TAG Heuer Carrera has been in the market. TAG Heuer has been making the Carrera from 1963 to the present day. The brand is also celebrating 50 years of Carrera. Half a century is quite an achievement and how better to celebrate it with a Jack Heuer Edition.
Jack Heuer is the grandson of TAG Heuer’s founder and is the honorary chairman of the brand.
Apart from being such an amazing watch, this timepiece has been specifically designed for sports car enthusiasts and professional drivers.
This exquisite timepiece shares a little from the Jack Heuer’s 80th birthday timepiece. In this one, the brand added more glamour, speed and emotion after its arrival on the fast lanes.
The Carrera Calibre 1887 Chronograph Jack Heuer Edition is celebrating an incredible edition that has been inspired in stop watches he used back in the days where he was a pro racer. This timepiece has an incredibly beautiful 45mm case that has carbide steel and titanium.
The case takes the form of a Mikrogirder meaning that the crown and pushers are located on the front side rather than the sides of the case.
This timepiece is great because of its technical details that were borrowed from Formula One elements. It’s privileged with a hand brushed titanium carbide black steel bezel and has been polished to a great extent.
It’s also privileged with a very asymmetrical case, a very uncommon touch from the brand.
The sapphire case back allows the bearer to observe through the crystal the gorgeous movement of the Cailbre 1887.
This movement vibrates at 28800 VPH and has an outstanding power reserve of 50 hours.
The Calibre 1887 has a very interesting feature and that is the blue column wheel. This innovative column wheel works the same way as in a car as the transmission and the oscillating pinion works as the clutch.
