Unity of Ukrainian and Global Talent in the “Different” Exhibition

Unity of Ukrainian and Global Talent in the “Different” Exhibition

On October 1, Iryna Fedorenko, a Ukrainian contemporary artist and art curator, also known as SEMIRA, opened a new art show at Munich’s fashionable art space – Graf Rumford. The new exhibition is titled “Different,” meaning an in-depth exploration of creative differences and diverse artistic angles guiding artists’ self-expression. The art show, which unites Ukrainian and global talent, is accessible free of charge and can be viewed at Graf Rumford until October 13, 2025.

Exploring the Difference

The exhibition’s title is self-explanatory; the world of art is varied and diverse, and deciphering those differences often takes a deep dive into artists’ lived experiences, cultural backgrounds, and personal narratives. Difference means different things to people, and everyone sees the world with their own eyes, translating that subjective gaze into works of art. That’s why art is so rich and versatile, with artists and art connoisseurs spending time and effort to unlock those deeper meanings.

These are the guiding lines of “Different,” an exhibition translating the collective and individual experiences of artists into a global creative dialogue. Held within the framework of the TRACE International Festival of Contemporary Art, which is also curated by Iryna Fedorenko, “Different” unites many Ukrainian talents who participate in the exhibition side by side with artists from other countries, thus creating a unique atmosphere of cultural bridges and exchange.

TRACE International Festival of Contemporary Art

Established by Iryna Fedorenko to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence in Kyiv, the TRACE International Festival of Contemporary Art has grown into a large-scale international initiative with broad European visibility. Works of art selected for the festival have been exhibited in Germany, France, and Belgium. They have also been presented within broader artistic and civil events, including the European Women’s Association Summit.
