Taimeless Art Gallery: A New Addition to the Sicily Art Scene
Taormina in Sicily, Italy, has been on the maps of cultural and artistic connoisseurs for a while now. This small municipality in the Italian province of Messina has become exceedingly popular with tourists from all over the world in the past couple of years, but it still has not lost its authentic charm. Here, on Corso Umberto, the central street of the town, a new spot will open its doors for lovers of art, beauty, and luxury. Taimeless, a new top-end international art gallery that is sure to revolutionize the Sicily art scene, will open at 220 Corso Umberto on March 23, 2024. The ceremony will take place at Palazzo Ciampoli, one of Taormina’s oldest architectural sites.
Taimeless Art Gallery: A New Addition to the Sicily Art Scene
Taimeless Art Gallery is founded by Francesco Chinnici, Antonio D’Aveni, and Stefano Sciacca, who have been actively helping develop the Sicily art scene for many years by organizing large-scale exhibitions and projects. For example, Francesco Chinnici is the mind behind “Timeless Immortal Art,” an initiative that brought together sixty artists and helped transform the small Sicilian town of Merì into an open-air museum of contemporary art in 2021. Taormina, which is situated around 50 miles away from Merì, has become the next destination for Chinnici’s innovative projects.
Taimeless Art Gallery has been created with the intention of assembling the best art the world has to offer. Curated by Soccorso Parisi and sponsored by the Sicilian Region Department of Cultural Heritage and Sicilian Identity, the opening event will see the attendance of some of the biggest names in contemporary art. Among them are China’s prominent artist Zhu Wei, the Malaysian-French master of abstract sculpture Michel Anthony, and the esteemed Italian painter Lorenzo Chinnici. Antonio Presti, the founder of Sicily’s first sculpture park, Fiumara d’Arte, will give the opening speech.
The visitors to the vernissage will also have a unique opportunity to witness the unveiling of “Taimeless One,” a piece of jewelry designed by the Italian luxury jeweler Francesco Bertè specifically for the gallery. The piece has an estimated worth of around €4 million.
Apart from a rich selection of fine art, Taimeless will have designated areas for showcasing exclusive jewelry and accessories. It will also be providing artistic advice to collectors.
Taimeless Art Gallery is a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts visiting Taormina. With its exclusive collection of fine art and breathtaking historical location, it is on track to becoming one of the best art galleries in Sicily and beyond.
