Culturally Arts Collective Brings Graham Gurr’s Art Online

Bringing art online to expand its accessibility to global audiences and make it publicly available is one of the foundational values of Culturally Arts Collective. The arts organization is happy to share its recent digital replication project of “Vivid,” an exhibition of Graham Gurr’s art. “Vivid” was originally on display at Arthall in Gozo, Malta, being physically accessible only to the residents and visitors of this Mediterranean island. However, upon its replication, the exhibition has become available to anyone across the globe. Read on to find out the details.

Graham Gurr and His Solo Exhibition “Vivid”

Graham Gurr is an established Maltese artist of British origin, who creates patchwork-like artwork using bright, intense colors. Many of his works are made in the pop art style, featuring fantastic landscapes and small human figures. Despite the seeming flatness and naivety of Gurr’s visual language and techniques, his paintings cover pressing social issues and life disruptions, like the absence of human communication and the growing isolation of people because of social media and technology.

Graham Gurr’s works have been exhibited at different art spaces across Malta, as well as in London, New York, and Osaka, among other cities. One of his successful solo exhibitions, “Vivid,” was on display at Arthall Gozo last year, where the visitors could embrace Gurr’s signature art and purchase some of his paintings for their private collections.

With many exhibitions held in major cities of Europe, Asia, and North America, hundreds of thousands of true art appreciators fail to visit them personally due to financial or logistical constraints. These challenges were identified by Culturally Arts Collective, a non-profit arts organization with international coverage, wishing to bridge the distance between the world’s art community and notable art.

Culturally Arts Collective links artists with their audiences and contributes to the global reach of artworks across distances. The organization partners with creatives to make digital analogs of their collections and showcase them at the digital gallery – Hanbell Gallery – for a predetermined period of time. This way, artists reach their full potential by accessing international audiences, and art enthusiasts receive a one-of-a-kind opportunity to enjoy art in a digital form without the need to travel long distances.

Culturally Arts Collective partnered with over 3,500 artists in 100 countries in 2024 to bring their art online, and this year, the organization’s plans are also large in scale and reach. The digital replica of Gurr’s “Vivid” exhibition will be available for viewing on Culturally Arts Collective’s website until May 31, 2025.
