Madison Avenue Watch Week Continues its Success

Madison Avenue Watch Week

Madison Avenue Watch Week continued its success Tuesday. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. — or, in more enjoyable terms, from just after a yummy breakfast, to just before a nice dinner — you are free to roam between 57th and 86th streets, and visit your favorite brands. There is still plenty to see and do, and most of the events last all day.

You can still visit Blancpain, learn how the brand revolutionized the tourbillon, and discover the Blancpain Carrousel. Breguet, David Yurman, Montblanc, Porsche, Vacheron Constantin, and Graff are opening their doors this week, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., providing the opportunity to learn about these brands and discover their latest innovations. Hublot is also offering a preview of its newest collection, but only by appointment. Looking for a discount? Head over to Buccellati for 15% off some of the finest luxury watches.

For all the car-racing fans out here, Chopard is displaying its new, in-house-created Superfast watch models, which are part of their Classic Racing collection. And, for more of the latest in luxury, head over to Fabergé, where Dr. Géza von Habsburg is presenting the brand’s latest models.

If you were in the mood for a drink Tuesday, you were probably sipping on a delicious cocktail at de Grisogono as the company presented its new Tino S19 model, and one of the de Grisogono’s master watchmakers gave an overview.

If you are looking for a unique watch, then visit F.P. Journe. The ninth offering of the Octa collection by Francois-Paul Journe — the Quantieme Perpetuel with instantaneous jump — is outstanding, with its easy-to-read perpetual calendar. I really liked it.

300watches also checked out Precision and Splendor: Clocks and Watches at The Frick Collection, which showed off a series of artful timepieces found in the Frick’s permanent collection. This exhibit is extra interesting, as it includes pieces that date back to the Renaissance, continuing through the 19th century, and even features some never-before-seen pieces, loaned from private collections.
