This August, the Met has opened a large-scale exhibition of Japanese art where all fans of the Asian artistic vision can enjoy the work of Japanese poets, calligraphers, and painters.

His creative activity in the UK has also been pronounced over the past years, and 2024 has witnessed the emergence of several new Banksy artworks in the London streets.

Andy Warhol partnered with the filmmaker Jonas Mekas to make a stationary shot film of the Empire State Building on July 25, 1964. The duo screened an 8-hour-long film from a single position, showcasing how this building, created in the best tradition of Art Deco, arises from darkness in the first rays of sun in the morning.

In February 2024, Fine Art Shippers, a professional art shipping company based in New York, was entrusted with the important project of Banksy mural relocation to Bridgeport, СT, from the South Bronx, NY. The mural titled “Ghetto 4 Life” appeared on the wall of one of the buildings in 2013. The relocation decision followed over a decade of the mural’s existence in the streets of the Bronx, but the task of its extraction and shipment appeared to be both technically challenging and delicate.

The New York art aficionado community is in for a special treat this July. An exhibition of contemporary art, carefully curated by Javier Flores and organized under the auspices of Capital Culture House and Guto Ajayu Culture in Madrid, Spain, is currently held at El Barrio’s Artspace PS109 in NYC. The exhibition features many works by talented international artists, including Vian Borchert’s abstract art paintings.

The J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles has just stricken the deal of the century by acquiring a famous artwork of the Flemish Renaissance painter Quentin Metsys for over £10 million. The Renaissance art masterpiece Madonna of the Cherries is a recently rediscovered 16th-century painting that represents a significant historical heritage and will occupy a significant position in the Getty’s Renaissance collection.
