Black History Month is a US-wide celebration held every February to revisit and commemorate the contribution of Black Americans to the history and present of the United States. The footprint of African Americans is immense. It spans across politics, economics, social life, and art. After being buried beneath meters of ash and volcanic rock for nearly 2,000 years, a spectacular bath complex looking like a private spa has recently been unearthed by archeologists working at the Archaeological Park of Pompeii. The bath is believed to have been part of a large house and included hot, warm, and cold rooms, a changing room, an impressive plunge pool, and beautiful artwork covering the walls.
