Real Madrid is a well-known football club that has been enthralling millions of football fans throughout the decades. They are holding on to their proud football legacy even to this day in European football league matches as well as Spanish club level matches. This proud Spanish football club won one of their national championships in the year 1934. Unlike their many other such victories, this championship had some special significance to their association with a famous luxury watch maker. The Vulcain watch played a significant part in ensuring this championship win. This fact was later acknowledged by the team coach Francisco Bru through a letter written to the luxury watchmaker. The watch helped the Real Madrid team to streamline their practice sessions to perfection and also to ensure the proper implementation of every other related aspect in a timely manner. All these small steps led to their famous 1934 Spanish national championship win. They went on to add to this glory with the victory of the Spanish Football Cup in the same year too. For Vulcain, their association with the football club is one of the high points of their existence. Right now, Vulcain is celebrating the memories of the victories from eight decades back by re-launching the 50s Presidents’ Chronograph Heritage timepiece.
Vulcain brought back the 42 mm diameter sized vintage model, the Heritage, for watch lovers. The mechanical watch has its case made from 316L stainless steel and is run by Caliber Vulcain V-57 in house watch movement. It has a power reserve to run continuously for 42 hours at any given time. Its features include hour and minute functions, a seconds counter located at 9 O’clock position as well as a thirty minute chronograph counter seen at 3 O’clock position. The pulsometric scale situated right in the middle of the dial is the crown jewel of the watch model. It has a stylishly calligraphed inscription on it that reads “Gradu pour 30 pulsations” which means graduated for 30 heartbeats.
When it comes to the design aesthetics incorporated in to the watch, they stuck mostly to what was followed in the original one. This is especially noticeable on the dial which has three versions for you to choose from. They are in shades of white with black, black with brown and silver with blue transfers. The design as well as fonts used for the numerals as well as the logo are the same as the original one too. These elements bode well with the watch making aesthetics of the current times as well. Vulcain chose to marry the Heritage to a Louisiana alligator leather strap and a steel pin buckle. As the Heritage is supposed to showcase the football history of eight decades, it certainly needs to have the rough and tough elements of the game. The watchmaker is successful in achieving this aspect well. A black colored, dome shaped sapphire crystal is protecting the watch dial in an effective manner. The Heritage can withstand water pressure up to a rating of 50 meters.
