Don’t Miss New Art Exhibitions Featuring Works by Vian Borchert
In New York, Vian Borchert’s work can be seen at Lichtundfire as part of the new “Infinite Thunder” exhibition curated by Priska Juschka. Specifically for the show, which is inspired by the natural phenomena of the Catatumbo Lightning, the artist created new works dedicated to thunder and lightning. In her artwork statement, Vian says, “When I was invited to this thunder exhibit, I was excited since secretly I like thunder. I enjoy seeing atmospheric skies in a passionate rage and fury throwing bolts of thunder and lightning slivers of electric circuits our way.” Known for her abstract landscapes and skyscapes, Vian Borchert has perfectly captured the raging and rebellious beauty of thunder while appealing to the primal awe of the power of nature. “Infinite Thunder” will be on view at Lichtundfire through March 2, 2024.
Washington, DC, residents have a chance to view Vian’s work at the Monroe Gallery of The Arts Club of Washington. Titled “Enlightenment,” the exhibit features Borchert’s signature blue paintings that sing an ode to nature and light. The artist believes art can become a uniting force that can lead one toward light, peace, and harmony. Her body of work is strongly influenced by her appreciation of the world around her, and the pieces on view at the Monroe Gallery represent that perfectly. The visitors to the show can view abstract paintings by Vian Borchert until February 24, 2024.
Finally, don’t miss “Bowie Bash Amplified,” an art exhibition taking place at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, PA, which celebrates the legacy of the famous musician David Bowie. Vian has demonstrated her ability to create powerful work in various mediums by presenting “Forever David Bowie,” an expressionist watercolor portrait of the British singer. Growing up listening to Bowie’s music, Vian Borchert still feels inspired by his energy and talent. Captured in his signature face paint look, with his eyes sparkling with playful whimsy, the late musical legend momentarily comes back to this world, looking at the audience from Borchert’s painting. “Bowie Bash Amplified” featuring “Forever David Bowie,” along with other works by the artist, will be on view through April 8, 2024.
We encourage our readers to visit new art exhibitions of Vian Borchert’s work and wish the artist unending inspiration and the best of luck with her future projects.
